According to Statistics Lithuania, the average monthly net wage (after taxes) per year (first quarter of 2018, compared with the first quarter of 2017) grew in all counties - from 6.3% in Taurage to 9% in Kaunas and Vilnius.

The wage growth was influenced by the year 2017. July 1 increased salaries for health care workers (doctors and nurses) from 1 January. Increased the minimum monthly wage (MMA) and increased the basic salary level of state politicians, judges, state officials, civil servants and employees of budgetary institutions, adjusted minimum rates for the fixed part-time salaries for qualified staff of budgetary institutions and other reasons.
